Little Masterpieces of Wit and Humor

In the late nineteenth and early twentieth century humor books which contained the writings of numerous humorists of the era were quite common. Peck was well represented in these volumes. Those titles are listed on this page: http://georgewpeck.com/books.html.

Little Masterpieces of Wit and Humor Edited by Thomas L. Masson.

This is a six volume collection of the works of numerous humorists from the late nineteenth century. It was published by Doubleday, Page and Company. The first edition has a 1903 copyright with a 1904 title page.
Each book is 6 x 4.25.

A later edition was published in 1921 by Doubleday, Page and Company.

George W. Peck’s contribution is in Volume II. Most of the seven page excerpt is taken from Peck’s Bad Boy and His Pa, Chapter XIX: His Pa is “Nishiated”.
