Non-Peck: Peck’s Good Boy by Mae Wilmurt

This simplistic book tells about a happy, good boy and how normal American parents raise a healthy, fine child. The story pretty much is a written version of the unrealistic television family sitcoms of the era.

The author uses Peck in the title to help promote the book since it is unlikely the “Peck” in the title was randomly chosen.

Interestingly, I would have thought that by the 1950’s Peck’s Bad Boy was no longer in the public’s consciousness.
